Selling this for my Brother. Ill vouche that it is a nice car.

1988 Mustang GT - Foxbody
5.0 Highoutput
AOD Tranny - Rebuilt w/ shiftkit this month
Fresh From Florida - About 1yr in Michigan
CLEAN.
Black with Red Interior

I bought this car as a project and it came from Florida about a year ago. I have invested over $3,000 in performance parts and other things getting it to where it sits now.
It has a good running 5.0ho with freshly rebuilt transmission with shift kit, msd ignition, msd blaster coil, msd wires, msd cap, msd rotor, cold air intake, 17x9.5 mustang cobra(gun metal grey) wheels with 275/40/17 BFG's, under drive pulleys, performance chip, True 2.5" Duals - Nice headers no cats into Flowamster Mufflers with turn down tips (sounds great), Full Pioneer System, and much more. I also have lots of extra parts dash, Rare Salen Wing, Spare rims, and much more. Car has been stored winter since i'ved owned it and being in Michigan. The car runs great and would be a great car for some that has more time than I do.

Asking $4500obo. Will negotiate and will listen to reasonable offers.
Serious inquires only, available to view by appointment. It is currently daily driven and is good on gas as well.
Mainly looking for cash. However will consider something for trade that is EQUAL VALUE THAT NEEDS NO WORK!
Pics by request..pm me ur email and ill send you some.
Thanks for looking

Fox body GT + AOD = slower than my N/A Neon.

Yes I have beat a few at martin, boy did they look pissed. I was having an off day (ran a best of 15.9 LOL!) and beat one out on a 16 second pass.

Sounds like the typical fox body owned by a high schooler, loud, and slow.

Wow, pics would be the bare minimum if you expect any offers, especially if you already have them available, considering you can upload them for free here.

I am not saying that this car is fast, but its not slow. The top end was done at one point by the previous owner, however not positive of whats all been done. When he bought it, it barely ran we did all new freeze plugs, did some work on the top end, and its got all the shit like I said before. But no Im not saying this is a 12 or even 13 second car. It is what it is. For being a mustang its not terrible, and thats coming from me and Im not a ford guy at all...

Only questionable knowledge i see is jaybee's comment on how fast they aren't. I know the 93 ish autos were slow, but i know the late 80s early 90s weren't that bad.

They are slightly slower than a comparable stick car, but still go 14's bone stock. My '90 Notch was a factory AOD car. With just bolt on's it went 13.30's. 93's get a bad rap because they were only rated at 205 HP from the factory, but were almost the exact same motor as every other 87-92 5.0 HO with the exception of hyperutectic pistons.

Yes I do agree on the tail lights, pretty ugly. Something my brother liked for whatever reason. Stock tail lights should be sitting around. Also if the deal is right will include another full dash, misc. interior pieces (door panels, rear panels, & more) full GT body kit, stock headlights & turn signal lights (non clear), rare Saleen Wing (going on the stang soon if not sold), and other misc. parts. Id put this car at a 14 second or so, with different gearing and a couple things it would be a bit quicker

Sure they may run 14's (high 14's/low 15's) but tell that to the poor sap that I beat out that was running a mid 16.

The AOD cars are turd slow, both of the ones that I beat at Martin were AOD cars.

One was a white early 90's GT, the other was an SN95 5.0 convertible.

I'm not full of shit, the aod cars are slugs, I thought that was common knowledge.

As with any kind of racing, winning or losing is mostly dependent on the driver. I'd say both of these mustangs had some piss poor driver behind the wheel.

Unfortunately, only the early 90's GT has an AOD. SN-95 cars have the AODE

AOD's get a bad rap because people are ignorant about them. They have an unusual power flow through them because they have 2 input shafts, one for 1-2, and another for 3-4. The problem is that you only get torque converter multiplication in 1st and 2nd. One the trans shifts into 3rd the converter is essentially locked because the inner input shaft is splined directly into the front cover of the converter. With a few mods an AOD is a stout performance trans that I would take any day over a C-4. I ran 10's with mine.
