A bit pricey but a good investment........ Security System, Remote Start, 2-way responder with LCD Display Key-Fob, The ability to roll up, and roll down my windows ( haha kind of pointless, but sweet none the less).

More than i wanted to spend but figured it would be a great investment with the things i plan on putting inside and outside of my car.

Overall i am very happy with my purchase, and the install that dashworks completed!

sweet, is one of thos ones that will tell you what part of your car is being messed with if your alarm goes off?

yep

btw Kevin, if you see this, i got a question about alarms for you. ive got a model similar to Jays. but, every once and awhile i will lock my door via remote. it will chirp, but i will not hear my locks. i hit unlock and again it chirps, but not sound from locks. when i hit lock again the locks will finally engauge. it happens very rarely, maybe once every 3 months. its not seriously annoying, but id kinda like to get it fixed.

The 791 is awesome. I've had great luck with it over the past year or so. Nice choice.

Yeah, this security system also has the ability to have a camera hook up, as well as a radar sensor, that can sense if anyone puts their hand through an open window or sunroof.

JUNK j/k really don't know that model much it sounds ok but that whole list of stuff you just posted about, well the viper 791 has all of that except the carbon fiber looking color lcd remotes. and you can get a carbon fiber case for the viper 791 remote so the difference is that it's got a color lcd remote.

the big downside to that system is that there aren't any dealers to my knowledge in town that will service that brand of system. however the Viper system is nationwide and almost any town has a Viper/DEI dealer in it. which means you can have your stuff looked at and serviced pretty much anywhere.

sounds weird. who installed it? what car is it on?

it almost sounds like a back wire connection on the locks. that's the only thing i can really say without actually testing the system and it's outputs.

sorry to highjack this, but i've got a question too...are you guys able to program a new remote at dashworks or is it just strictly installs? i've only got one, and i'd like to get/make a backup, i'm prone to losing shit like that.

Nice buy Jason!

I work part time for a dealer of these units. They do make good stuff the only thing is nobody really knows who they are, but on another point they are a lot cheaper price wise then dei and you can sell them to the customer for a lot less then you are able to with a dei unit.

Kevin, how hard of an install would a 791 be in my car with Audi RF signal alarm system/lock system???

i had it installed on my Celica about a year and a half ago at Dashworks. i think it was the main guy there working on it. (the owner i think, cant remember too well) the alarm works great except for that occasional hiccup. maybe ill schedule an appointment and make you look at my car, hahaha

you they can do that shit. i think they charge a $15 service fee or some shit. or you can just read the instructions that come with the remote and do it yourself in 30 secs and for free :eusa_dance:

it's an Audi. it can be done, but a pain in the ass.
Jay04CompG
Hey kevin maybe you can answer this for me, with the 791 system why does my sensor only turn on every once in a while and not every single time i arm my car?
Max
huh? the only sensor that you have is the shock sensor. is that what you're talkin about? explain a little more or just call the store or stop by and show me. cus it should activate everytime.
Jay04CompG
Yeah, the shock sensor, sometimes it activates, and shows it on the key display, and other times the sensor icon does not show, and i can hit my windows and my alarm will not go off, its pretty random actually. The shock sensor literally activates itself every 1 in 15 times or so
