a friend of mine took her cavalier to a stereo place in kzoo because her battery kept going dead. They somehow got her to spend $650 on installation costs and extra shit she didn't need. all she needed was a $60 capacitor and a couple extra feet of wire and maybe a $45 install fee (which is pushing it for that little bit of work. she's not the most informed person when it comes to car audio (or anything vehicle related) so she went along with it and spent that kind of money. I understand people have to make their money, but jesus, to take advantage of someone's ignorance THAT BAD is a bit much in my opinion.

I ordered and installed all of her equipment myself and it sounded GREAT and was tuned to last forever. I suggested she get a capacitor at the time when I did it all but she told me she didn't have the money and she would have me get her one when she did have the money. instead of coming back to me for the cap, she took the car to best buy and they fucked around with it all and blew up her rear speakers (listening to vanilla ice nonetheless) cranked WAYYY beyond the speakers comfort zone... fuck the best buy people for that, by the way. then she took it to a few other places around town until she was got fucked over by the last business as said above.

Her battery when dead because she has a weak alt. , cap isn't gonna fix that.... and where was the place that raped her out of $650? I assume bestbuy gave her new speakers?

I know why her battery would go dead. she needs a new alternator and a cap to prevent her stereo from killing that one as well. best buy didn't do a damn thing for her, they denied that they blew the speakers and she didn't know what to do about it so she left. I'm not going to name drop the company that screwed her. just know, if you're looking for stereo stuff, that people will sell you a ton of shit you don't need (obviously, or they wouldn't stay in business). If anybody is looking for equipment and needs suggestions on what kind of stuff they do or dont need, hit me up with a PM and I will give you a few pointers.
