I found a place in Texas that does recovering of steering wheels in leather or wood, or painted... They do all types of cars, lots of exotics, european, SEMA show cars, and high end polished turd american cars.

here is a pic of what it would look like quality wise... but I'm doing a variation of that theme.

either full black perforated all the way around, or black perforated at the bottom spoke with the rest solid black leather. Whatcha guys think? Interior is black leather so no extra color would look good.

American Stitches

EDIT: I'm pulling the steering wheel off this weekend to ship overnight to them monday!!!
Ahole
Waste of money IMO

Ok well its better than spending $385 for used or $1100 for a new one... The leather is worn out about to tear on the 12 o'clock postion. Its cheap to do. So I figure, why the hell not. haha

so im guessign yoru not going to drive for a week lol?

you can send it via air because of the airbag = explosive device. shipping is going to be expensive because of that.

Airbag is separate from the rim. only rim is going to them

But I may also see if I can find a damaged one, with good core, but messed up leatehr and send it to them.

go the two texture route.

Well I'm gunna go with my original idea... black perforated leather at the bottom spoke with the rest solid black leather John.

So how did it turn out? I've been tossing around the idea of getting new leather on mine as well.

Sending it in over christmas break when I won't need the car. I realized I can't do it now cause I need the car. oh well, i can wait a month and a half
