Egypt Central - "You Make Me Sick"

Chorus is sooo catchy. Guitar work is simple, but effective.

I dig it. They kind of remind me of Cold. The music anyways.
Eric
FAR FAR FAR from metal buddy.

pop alt rock at best.
jErk
There's no reason ever to throw the word "pop" into any form of rock music. there's no dance moves going on.

Technically it's called "Modern Rock" these days
Eric
"pop" = "popular". if i can hear their music on the radio it's "pop". pop is not a genre.

yep. and?

probably half what i listen to is "pop" music. metallica is the definition of pop.

yay. at any rate, egypt central doesn't impress me any more than 3 doors down, cold, crossfade, etc etc. all the same mediocre radio-friendly pop.

/\ Music snob...I don't care if I hear it on the radio or if its underground, if its good it good. I don't care if they are "sell outs" or not. I hate when people call bands sellouts. If you could make music for money why wouldn't you? Get paid for what you love to do? Makes sence to me.
Eric
dude... what?

who's calling anyone a sellout? WTF? where are you getting this shit from?

Yeah, the CD isn't all that great, I pirated most of it.

Nonetheless, love that chorus.

metallica is still considered metal, just older 80's/90's metal. it was heavy for its day

lamb of god is a good starter metal band, thats how i started getting into metal a while back

or if you're feelin really experimental, opeth. (not otep, but they're alright too)
DSM Loki
zeppelin, ac/dc, old GnR, etc. got me into metal.

then i shifted more towards mushroomhead, dope, crossbreed, marazene, gizmachi, etc.
Rob32
classic rock ftw.
ShoToonz
ahhh yes.....metalheads unite!!

Opeth kinda creeps me out. Their music is just strange to me. Otep...well, that little tattoo'd hottie's got some pipes and I'd sure love to bang her against a wall sometime.

If you're lookin to try something different, check out the symphonic side of metal with Nightwish, After Forever and Dream Theatre. All three really kick ass.
ohsoslow
you guys are forgetting pantera
ShoToonz
Me? Forget Pantera? HAH!!!!

You forget...i'm the one who posts the rememberance thread every December 8th.

In fact...since you brought it up....

(shitty quality, but still kicks ass)

That's the joys of having had Sirius radio...you get to hear a bunch of stuff that no normal radio station plays on the air.
