So I see a vid that says 17.58 csrt-4 at the track, so I start watch it, the srt guy stalls and out of the bottom right corner this ricer comes screaming slowly across the cameras viewing angle. laugh.gif

If I was the CSRT-4 driver I would keep on driving, and not even show up for the slip...
garretts_turbo
that civic owner has been playing need for speed pro-street for so long that multicolor panels actually looks good to him. give the poor guy a break.

16.3 for the hatch? Ouch.
Pressurecooker
Lameness.

My stock 4572 lb, 1972 New Yorker Brougham 4 door went 16.0 @ 89 with an 8.2 to 1, 225 net hp "smog" motor and long assed 2.76 single leg rear.

My stock B16 integra could have run 15.8. If you know what you are doing with a honda, with 2k you could be deep in the 12's.

then do it

because i seriously dont believe that shit, honda guys are always sayin shit like that, it's hard to even find a decent honda to mod for under 2k let alone put mods on it

377 = win.

but yea; for 5k you could build an ugly civic that could be in the 11s or 10s... and the engine would be <$1000

ever heard of grassroots motorsports? http://ef-honda.com/main/viewtopic.php?t=19219

1. I plan on doing it but with the current economy and the lack of a job, my project is on hold for now.

2. It's easy as hell to find an eg shell for $500. which leaves you $1500 for motor. If you know where to look you can get a b20 swap gor right around $1000 and then peice together a junkyard turbo kit for right around $500. Run the b20 up to 8psi and you could be in the 12's no problem. That's building a 12 sec honda from the ground up in right around 2k. If you already have a shell and can dump all 2k into it then you'll be mint to go into the 11's.

i don't even think you'd need a turbo kit with a b20/f22/h22 in a light shell to get deep into 12's

swap my motor/turbo set-up into a cheaper shell and you should be easy 12; and i have right around $2k into my set-up (lots of extra money into the car itself)
