Yeah i can't really get into this type of music.
Although i do like some of Ill Nino & Alexisonfire. But i dont think that's in this catagory. My cousins play this type of music. They play at various spots in kalamazoo. "Tonight it Ends"

Time for me to share my current list of favorites...
Pantera (of course)
Rebel Meets Rebel (not really metal, but it's Dimebag, Rex and Vinnie Paul, so it is...)
Demon Hunter
As I Lay Dying
Pillar (hey...they're pretty hard)
Devil Wears Prada
Red
Disciple
Haste The Day
Seventh Day Slumber
Since October
Skillet (vocals may not be hard, but the riffs kick much ass)
Yeah...I'll admit it. I'm into Christian Metal. Though here's a thought...the only bands on that list that aren't Christian are Pantera and Rebel Meets Rebel.....

while christian metal is not my thing at all (thats a whole other ballgame) i will concede that i dig DWP...sometimes you just need a brutal breakdown or three to get in the mood.

do people hold their hands to the sky while they mosh at a christian metal concert? Although really, christian metal isn't too far off base, a lot of metal is based on religious mythology...

Hell Iron Maiden had a lot of that stuff.
garretts_turbo
Apr 6 2009, 10:09 PM
well im gonna say some things that may offend the religious on here.....
but in regards to their "praise jesus with my hands in the air" question, i found it to be true at the xian show i went to. i was trying to get in a girls pants and she wanted to see her friends For Today play a christian hardcore show and all the kids there were simultaneously two-stepping and holding their hands in the air haha...it was the corniest shit ive witnessed. add that to the fact that most xian metal is contrived tripe, and it made for a bad time. and i didnt get laid that night either. oh well.
