On my way back to South Haven, noticed a GT-R in my rearview mirror on 94E, then onto M43. He got infront of me, my nissan fanatic flower bloomed and I followed him home. Got a chance to talk to him, he's an editor for www.auto.kargo.com It was a premium package still had snow tires on it. They were doing a four seasons test on it; how it handles in everyday driving from blizzards to beautiful ass weather. Also track time-already took it to gingerman in October for a shoot-out with some other cars for their site. Got to go for a drive...was Fucking Awesome! The sound of the exhaust and engine finally drowned the thoughts in my head! The Turbo'd V 6cyl that nissan replaced my beloved RB26 with, matches the gearbox like and angel gone bad with a demon who saw the light! Smooth, blissfull and, brutality all at the same time..well it was built by Nissan and has that almighty GT-R badge

Brakes were brand new and Strong, another match made somewhere other than heaven...nissan. I could go on about every aspect of the car but as you all know it's a R35 GT-R! Ultimite comfort, stability and... the ultimite car!!
All in all I would have to say it was like haulin ass on a marshmellow road with a rocket attached to you. It's truely a Super Car right outta the box. I first got in it, barely adjusted the seat for my nissan made body and I'm still on cloud nine!! Makes me giggle, smile from ear to ear and proud as hell to be a Nissan owner!

You also don't have a GT-R. I personally have little desire to nut over the GT-R, but if it was an E92 M3 I might be inclined to chit chat with the owner.

saw a silver one in st joe the other day on some sick lookin flat black wheels. when i pulled up beside him and saw a tool lookin fella with a jaunty driving hat and driving gloves on, i thought it'd be a lost cause to do a 2nd gear drop on him, but did it anyway, only to be rewarded by hearing that 3.8 spool and promptly leave me in a cloud of beautiful mechanical harmony.

Add the values of the Subarus together, you get the value of the GTR.

Ive met this guy a couple times through one of my vw buddies. He told me he owned one at a party a while back and everyone called bullshit till he brought it over.
It was awesome, he started it up for me and I got to sit in it. I asked him if it was legal and he laughed and said "yea, trust me, its legal". I asked how, if it was registered as a 240sx or what, he replied again "trust me, its legal". So who knows there. He said he would give me a ride but had already had to many beers, so another time. He already gave my buddy a ride to south haven a back so I know hes legit. Pretty cool guy, I partied with him all night. The car has upgrated turbos just slightly larger then stock with an aftermarket ecu and tune, it runs around 320 at 11psi. He used to have a sti that ran 360 horse and he said the skyline is already alot faster (obviously). He is planning on building it more, but nothing rediculous. I asked if he knew about kzoo rice or ever went to a meet and he replied "ahh whatever". Then we continued to talk to this guy who built a 9 sec turbo 8 valve rabbit, whom introduced me to this guy with a mk4 gt28r 1.8t golf that works on blueprinted machinery, and now im getting hooked up on machined parts and performance part discounts, maybe a job. I only got one crappy cell phone night picture, so im not even going to bother posting until I get nice pics. My buddy might have some on his phone though, I will see.
haha, fun stuff

now go ahead everyone and hate and call "pics or it didnt happen"

I remember when I first saw a GTR, I was standing in line to get an iPhone 3G and all of a sudden I heard the sweet sound of a GTR purring from a distance. I instantly perked up and started scanning around for where it was coming from. Then this siiiiiick looking flat black Skyline slides by us. Everyone in line, skyline lover or not broke their necks on that car. 1. It was a Skyline, 2. It was murdered out flat black. In Vegas there are tons of Skylines floatin around.
Which reminds me, the last few days I was in Vegas last I saw a murdered out Murcielago pulled over. He was already gone by the time I turned around to snap a pic. It was a classic shot right on the strip. I should have said fuckin it and got out in the middle of the road. lol

As far as the "questionable" legality of any r32-r34s here, any that were brought in by motorex were grandfathered in. R33's have been fully crash tested and are legal for import, the 32's and 34's here that motorex brought in are legal, but we cannot import any more.

I haven't been keeping up on the whole thing. What happened with the whole "all Skylines in the US must be deported or destroyed". Did they reverse that?
Taris_Blue
May 5 2010, 07:03 PM
that is not accurate...the truth is that they have been searching for all skylines that have been registered as kit cars, or as other cars (ie 240sx's)...these cars are in the country illegally and are being removed from the country, or seized by Law Enforcement.

pshh......R32 is the real deal.
Anyway, Shouldn't R32's be legal to bring in few questions asked pretty soon? what is it? 25 years old and then its a hell of a lot easier?
